Hardwood Bark-Mulch
Our mulch is all-natural with no additives or colorants and sets off your plants and/or flowers beautifully. It holds moisture for your plants, helps prevent weed growth, and maintains a balanced soil temperature.
Our grinder produces a fine, even consistency for easy spreading. The “regular mulch” is heavier and does not break down as quickly as the reground mulch. Remove old mulch and spread the new to your desired depth. Raking the surface during the summer season will restore the color and circulate the air for your plants.
HOW MUCH DO I NEED?
We sell our mulch by the cubic yard – one yard wide by one yard high by one yard deep. Mulch should be spread two to four inches thick in your garden. Measure your area in feet, multiply the width times length, times the depth you want, and divide by 27 to get your cubic yards needed. Example: 24’ by 6’ x 4/12 (four inches depth) divided by 27 = 1.78 or 2 cubic yards.
DELIVERY OR PICK-UP:
We deliver reground mulch in loads of four, six, eight, ten, or twelve cubic yards. Call for our graduated prices – the larger the load, the less you pay per yard. We deliver the “regular” (not reground) mulch in twelve-yard loads only. You may pick up mulch at our location on Route 11, 2 miles north of Castle Creek. A tarp is required to secure your load.
